Rialto Ripples (Rag) (original from the CD, qn≈192) (2:29)
Samples:   Sample 1, Sample 2, Sample 3, Sample 4

George Gershwin's 1917 novelty rag Rialto Ripples was his first published instrumental, and was a commercial success. It has all the hallmarks of Gershwin's piano style, with stride left hand patterns and ragtime syncopation typical of that era.
(4 to 5-note chords in both hands and scales in octaves in both hands.)
Rialto Ripples is George Gershwin's first published instrumental and his only piano rag. It has all the hallmarks of Gershwin's piano style merging ragtime with a piano novelty number. It's fun, delightful, a toe-tapper, and smile-maker.
