What to practice:
1) Technique:
- Note: Bring your Hanon.
- Scales: C Major (3 octaves). Play 2 notes per beat, then 3 notes per beat (triplets)
2) Method:
- "Voicing 1's" - continue to work both ways (take your time)
- L.H. only
- R.H. voicing, L.H. Bass
- Note: for Voicings, 3rd and 7ths shouldn't go much below low C.
- Note: Transposition/Lead-sheets
- Decide on # of staves
- Only treble clef staff is needed
- ~ 8 staves (e.g., 5 // 4 / 4 / 4 / 4 // 4 / 4 // 4 / 4 // )
- on average, 4 measures per line
3) Repertoire/Composition:
4) Listening:
