TRUMPET TIPS - WARM-UP EXERCISES
Below are some tips and play-along links for playing warm-up exercises on the trumpet:

Shortened Version (played slowly, rest as you play):
I. (Buzz on Mouthpiece) Buzz on Leadpipe
II. Long Tones (expanding): Starting on Low C (8 slow beats each, with 4 beats in between), Starting on G (8 slow beats each, with 4 beats in between)
III. Chromatics (expanding): F# to C to F#, F to B to F, G to C# to G...
IV. Crescendo/Diminuendo (8-7-7-8, continue down by half steps)
V. Slurs (5-8-1, key of C to F#; 1-3-3, 3-5-5, 5-8-1, 1-3-3)
IX. Tonguing (3-8-5-3-1-3-5-8-3: quarters, eights, triplets, sixteenths)
